Change the font family and size to suit, you can use point sizes - 10pt 12pt etc. bold can be left off
if not required, there are other options, the w3schools site is good for this kind of thing. Trial and error and few good
reference sites and you can pick this stuff up in no time!
You can set your styles from another level to apply to all paragraph tags on the page
by simply putting this code in the about me panel's html/css form:
If you already have a body and style tag there just add the bit between the style tags.
You can also use classes or ids to identify praticular elements on your page and allow
you to set an easily re-usable style. For instance you may want to have some text in
red occasionaly:
This is text and this is red.
In the style sheet you would have:
p.red {color: red;}
If you want to know any more about this I will be happy to help.
You may want to consider setting the padding for the panel too
although the paragraph may have some default padding anyway,
and you could always set more there by adding - { . . . padding: 5px;}
HTML/CSS Code for Scrolling Panels
The three lines above are all you need to make the messages panel scroll. Simply change the height
value (and/or the width value) to fit your preference.
To do the same to other panels simply replace this part:
div #messages_panel_body
with one of the following:
div #aboutme_panel_body
div #contact_panel_body
div #friends_panel_body
div #visitors_panel_body
div #blog_panel_body
div #gallery_panel_body
div #music_panel_body
div #rss_panel_body
div #stickers_panel_body
div #rankings_panel_body
div #wishlist_panel_body
div #dev_panel_body
I dont think it matters too much where you put the code, it doesnt necessarily need to be in the panel
you are wanting it to apply to. So if you wanted to do a couple of panels, say -
You can put this code in the html/css section of your about me panel and it will still change the
correct panels. I would go into more detail about changing other things using the css ids and classes
but I'm not sure how much or little of that sort of stuff you already know. I dont want to tell you
things that may be obvious to you, or overload you with code that you have no desire to understand or
ever use. But if you want to know anything else just ask. I'm happy to help.
Also, if any of this code doesn't work for any reason let me know and I will try to help solve the
problem.
I ask for nothing but if you have a good reason to send a gift then here are some suggestions. I don't mind suprises either if you think something will look good. But seriously don't get me a gift unless you absolutely feel you want to.
