Leaf Kino is a fan-made character and never appears officially in the Sailor Moon anime or manga. He was created for roleplay purposes and this page is a fictional biography that recounts many of his adventures during his sessions with various roleplay encounters in IMVU and other places.

How does he/she dress? Leaf doesn't have any particular style but prefers simple shirts and pants.

Bio: Leaf Kino is the younger brother of Makoto Kino (Sailor Jupiter). He spent time in Europe after his parents were killed in an airplane accident which also nearly took his own life. Because there was no way to identify the child at the time, he remained in orphanages when he became of age, he took a DNA test to back track his family lineage which he traced to one living relative -- his sister, Makoto. After reuniting with his sister and trying to resume normal civilian life in Japan, he begins to feel anxious (unknowingly due to the Thunder King's power sleeping inside of him). He spends time with Makoto's friends and eventually discovers the brothers of her friends and hangs out with them. One night, Leaf is visited by an apparition who calls himself the Prince of Jupiter. He tells Leaf that the power of the Thunder King was strong (Which is why Leaf suffered from anxiety) and it'd be a long time before he could overcome it but for now, he needed to take control of his life so that he would be ready when a new threat would arise. The Jupiter Prince unseals power within Leaf to help him overcome the odds, tells him to be strong, find the courage in his heart and when the time was right, they'd meet again. After some time of working well with his sister (Which he discovers her as Sailor Jupiter), he and the brothers suffer some heavily losses and their powers were banned and violating the ban would resort into banishment (The exception being Michael Mizuno who was outright banished). This causes Leaf to go into a deeply depressed state before he is overcome by the power of the Thunder King. When the others return from exile, he is able to finally defeat the Thunder King while also lifting the exiled status from he and his friends due to his efforts against the Dark Kingdom Prince Sethos.

Leaf in his transformed state commands a powerful presence and aura. His strength and speed are like thunder and lightning -- if he strikes you physically, there's a good chance you'll go flying. His hammer will also call upon extremely powerful lightning that can shatter rock. Like his sister, he is fairly good at close range combat, having mixed his styles with a bit of his sister's, the training he received from his friends and his own flair.

Hobbies: Singing though is far too embarrassed to sing in public. He also enjoys cooking and meditating, reading books about history and practicing his martial arts.

How does the character deal with anger? Leaf cannot remember the last time he got angry... though there are brief spurts in his memory that leave him... when he's lost himself, his emotions overpower him into violence.

With change? Used to be frightened of it because of the changing of orphanages over his life. After meeting his sister, he acknowledges that not all change is bad and not all change is good.

With loss? Loss has been a regular part of his life. It saddens him, but there wasn't exactly much to get hyped about anyway.

Devices/Weapons

Might of Jupiter: When not transformed, this is a sword hilt without a blade which is useless and devoid of any power in the hands of anyone else (even relatives of Leaf). However, when wielded by Leaf, he can activate the sword's power with trigger words and transform himself and the hilt into his battle form (The hilt becoming the Might of Jupiter Hammer) This hammer had been passed down through the male side of the family and Leaf acquired this mighty weapon (in its non-transformed hilt form) when he was a child. It conducts and strengthens Lightning Attacks and he is able to recall it back to him. He is also able to twirl it so when it impacts an enemy, the attack and impact is more devastating. Every time he throws his hammer, it releases an intense roar of thunder.

Spear of Jupiter: A spear formed by Leaf out of sheer rage. The power of lightning solidified into this weapon enchanted with intense lightning and thunder. Because of its enchanted with lightning, the tip's cutting and destructive power rivals the Silence Glaive and Space Sword. Leaf will usually throw the spear like a javelin and use his Thunder Hammer to conduct lightning onto the javelin like a lightning rod enhance the cutting power even further.

Powers

Lightning Judgment: Leaf slams his hammer to the ground, causing lightning to strike at the target from above as well as causing the ground to tremble from the force. The ground then cracks open beneath the enemy and unleashes another blast of lightning from below.

Chain Lightning: Leaf summons lightning that strikes into his hammer before pointing the hammer at the enemy and starts electrocuting them directly. He can channel this indefinitely, calling for more lightning from the heavens to cause further damage. It can also chain to other enemies around the target as well. After using it, Leaf will need time to recharge before he can attack again.

Sparkling Hammer Pressure: A lightning quick attack where Leaf charges lightning into his hammer and quickly slings it at the enemy. The hammer returns to its user once making its quick strike.

Lightning Shatter: Leaf charges an object with lightning before shattering it with his hammer, causing electrical debris to spray all over the field. Allies will be unaffected by this while enemies all around will be slowed by the debris or even paralyzed from the amount of lightning.

The Tower: Leaf's ultimate attack. Leaf raises his hammer as a tower forms from the ground and entraps a group of enemies. Leaf then causes countless strikes of lightning to the tower, shattering it into debris as several floors of charged rumble crush the enemies trapped in side. All that is left after the lightning stops is nothing but a crater.

Leaf Kino:

"Sailor Senshi business..."

Sailor Jupiter:

"Yes, that's right. We're in the middle of an investigation right now, so please, go back home where it's safe, alright?"

Leaf Kino:

"I understand you're trying to protect me and the people, Jupiter-chan... but I..."

Sailor Jupiter:

"Leaf-kun?"

Leaf Kino:

"No...! Not now...! NOT... NOW!!"

Sailor Jupiter:

"Wh-what's happening?! Leaf-kun, are you alright??"

Thunder King:

"It calls to me... the red haired boy is bringing them back. I will not allow this boy to bring filth to my kingdom nor will I allow this one to stop me from ruling! As for you, Sailor Jupiter! It's time I crush you beneath my heel!"

Sailor Jupiter:

"Leaf... no... you're not Leaf! You're the Thunder King! I won't forgive you for this! Give Leaf back now!!"

Thunder King:

"There is no Leaf! Only the Thunder King reigns now!"

[after the battle]

Sailor Jupiter:

"L-Leaf-kun..."

Thunder King:

"Now to finish yo-- arrggghh!"

Sailor Jupiter:

"L-Leaf-kun!"

Leaf Kino:

"J-Jupiter-chan... did I...? Did he...? Oh no!!"

Sailor Jupiter:

"Wait... don't run away! Leaf-kun...!"

Destined Battle: Leaf Kino

Leaf Kino:

"Wh-what the hell?!"

Thunder King:

"I told you... there's no stopping me! This planet, this universe, this body! Is mine!"

Leaf Kino:

"This... this is going on in my mind...?"

Thunder King:

"It's now time for you to kneel to me, Leaf! The Thunder King is eternal! And you will soon be nothing more than a faded memory to my eternal reign!"

Leaf Kino:

"You... you took advantage of me when I was weak... you've haunted and tormented me all my life... you've chased away any girls I ever had any interest in... but this... this has gone too far! Mako-chan... she's the only family I have left... she's the only thing I have in this lonely life of mine... and you... you used me... you used me to hurt her! No! I won't allow you to continue anymore!"

Thunder King:

"Ha! You really think you can stop me, boy? You're weak! You're powerless! You've always been weak and powerless! You're pitiful. You should be thankful that a god like me inhabited your body!"

Leaf Kino:

"Those are my powers... my weapons... a false god and fake king is sitting on the throne that belongs to my family! No! No more, Thunder King! I'm stopping you right here, right now, forever!"

[After the battle]

Thunder King:

"..."

Leaf Kino:

"I get it now. You were my fears, my doubts, my negative parts. To possess a great power like this, a strong soul with a righteous heart needs to take it. I needed to stop being afraid. To punch that fear right in the face like Mako-chan. As for that threat... it's around here somewhere. Someone really is trying to bring back the Dark Kingdom! But why? It doesn't make any sense..."

Final Boss: Sethos Beryl

[Seth is eating before being startled by Leaf charging in on a horse]

Sethos Beryl:

"What the...?! Really? While I'm in the middle of eating? Sheesh. Fine, fine, let's get with it. Ahem... You... a spineless, weak, cowardly boy. Did you get lost? You better run away before you get hurt. This isn't a place for someone like you to be snooping around in."

Leaf Kino:

"Looks like your crystal ball is a bit outdated there, red. That was the old me. The new me is gonna bring the the thunder on you and destroy any hopes you have of resurrecting the evil Dark Kingdom!"

Sethos Beryl:

"Fool! Do you really think you can just storm in here uninvited with power and confidence you never had and expect that to stop ME?!"

Leaf Kino:

"Uh, well, yeah...?"

Sethos Beryl:

"Argh! This charade ends here!"

[After the battle]

Ending: "True Self"

[Seth is smashed into the ground quite hard, letting out a painful yell. Leaf appears and lands on both of Seth's legs, immobilizing him as Seth yells again in pain.]

Leaf Kino:

"It's over, Sethos! The nightmare that is the Dark Kingdom will never return... my torment from the Thunder King ends... and you, seed of Beryl, too, will meet your fate!"

[Leaf raises his thunder hammer over his head, ready to bring it down]

Sailor Jupiter:

"Stop!"

[Before Leaf can bring down his weapon, Sailor Jupiter clings onto him, crying]

Sailor Jupiter:

"It's over, Leaf... you don't have to fight anymore..."

Leaf Kino:

"But... Sethos... the Dark Kingdom..."

Sailor Jupiter:

"It's not his fault... Mars understood the whole vision... this boy was being used..."

Sethos Beryl:

"The hell you say?!"

Sailor Jupiter:

"Sethos... you say that your father betrayed your mother... that your father betrayed the Earth..."

Sethos Beryl:

"So?! It's the truth!"

Leaf Kino:

"It's not the truth, is it, Jupiter-chan?"

Sailor Jupiter:

"No. Sethos, Queen Beryl betrayed the Earth! She joined the Dark Kingdom... and when you were born, she imprinted all these memories onto you. She wants everything destroyed and was just using you to revive the Dark Kingdom to destroy the Earth!"

Sethos Beryl:

"No! That's not true! That's impossible!"

Leaf Kino:

"...Sethos. Look deep inside of yourself. Do you really want to continue this fight? Do you really think the Dark Kingdom will help this planet?"

Sethos Beryl:

"..."

Leaf Kino:

"Many royal families of the other planet were reborn as citizens of Earth, Sethos. You don't need to feel alone anymore! You could say we're your family... we're Earthlings, just like you. The Sailor Senshi have protected this planet. It's their home just as much as it's your home... they aren't your enemy!"

Sethos Beryl:

"..."

[Leaf stands with Sailor Jupiter as he extends a hand to Seth. Seth hesitantly grabs Leaf's hand as he helps him up]

Leaf Kino:

"We've both had it rough, Sethos. But I can assure you that we love this planet as much as you do. Whatever happened between your parents, it's not your true self. You are who you make your true self."

Sethos Beryl:

"Can the Sailor Senshi easily forgive me for the pain I've caused...?"

Sailor Jupiter:

"Don't sweat it, Sethos! You were bringing manipulated! We know you're not a bad person! Come on! The buffet is always opened to you!"

[The three of them leave the scene as it fades to black]

The reign of the Thunder King over Leaf has finally ended. Leaf and the others are no longer exiled...

In truth, the Thunder King was merely a culmination of Leaf's negative emotions as well as trauma suffered in his accident as an infant.

Seth also explains his own feelings about Beryl, having been drawn to her because he felt her motherly presence but it all faded away when her hatred for everything else seemed more important than her love for him.

[The picture fades and the scene opens up with Leaf and Seth walk the fields]

Sethos Beryl:

"So this is where I grew up."

Leaf Kino:

"You befriended the forest animals and survived in the wilderness for a long time..."

[Leaf's radio goes off as his Tomoe Industries contacts him]

HQ:

"Leaf, Seth, Mr. Tomoe has an assignment for you both."

Leaf Kino:

"Acknowledged, HQ. We're on our way."

HQ:

"Roger that."

[Leaf puts away the radio]

Leaf Kino:

"How about it, Seth? You ready for some action?"

Sethos Beryl:

"Hopefully it's something exciting and not something boring like picking up his suits from the dry cleaners again!"

Leaf Kino:

"A job's a job!"

[The two chuckle as they head off to answer the call. Scene fades to black]
